Robert (Bob) L. Brewer, 76 of Monticello, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025 at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center surrounded by his family. Bob was born January 6, 1949 to Basil and Edna (Snell) Brewer. Bob married Madeline Hannan June 21, 1973, and they celebrated 37 years of marriage until her passing in 2011.

Bob loved the outdoors. Camping and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. He made his living working in the woods. Even though he worked a few odd jobs before experiencing declining health, being in the outdoors and cutting wood was what he talked about the most. He was also a former member of the Monticello Fire Dept.

Bob is survived by two children, Tammy (Donald) Silliboy and Basil (Caleb) Jewell of Monticello; daughter-in-law Betsy Hannan of Darlington, SC; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother, Roger (Karla) Brewer of Monticello; an uncle, Ernest Brewer of Monticello; an aunt, Barbara Brewer of Linneus, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, a special family friend, Kathy Brown. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was

predeceased by two sons, Barry and Terry Hannan.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center for their exceptional care and compassion during Bob's hospitalization. A graveside service will be held at 1P.M. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 at the Foster Cemetary in Monticello with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
