Robert Lee Brieseacher, 85, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:24 am October 18, 2022 at Stonebridge Memory Care in Mount Vernon. He was born August 8, 1937 in Mount Vernon to the late Raymond and Margaret (Eubank) Brieseacher. Robert married Karon (Reed) Brieseacher on November 22, 1958. They were blessed with sixty-three years of marriage.
In addition to his loving wife, Robert is survived by his children, Rex Brieseacher and wife, Starla of Mount Vernon, Tammy Brieseacher of Melbourne, Florida, and Rodney Brieseacher and wife, Megon of Reelsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Cassie Clark, Ryne Brieseacher, Mallory Martin, Trisha Denny; great-grandchildren, Josh, Paisley, Waylon, Staley Ann, Whitley, Lilly; sister, Patty Thomas; and sister-in-law, Trena Reed.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Aker, sister-in-law, Helen Puckett; and brother-in-law, David Thomas.
Robert was a member of Central Christian Church, Mount Vernon Elks, and past president of the Jefferson County Shrine Club. He was a past president of Krazy Klowns and a member of Masonic Lodge #368 of Opdyke. Robert was past CEO of Home Builders Association, member of Carpenters Local 636 of Mount Vernon, and past member of Fly Wheelers out of Florida He enjoyed fishing and camping and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am with Mr. J. Howard Kraps officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Robert's honor to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Central Christian Church.
