Robert Broadhead

Robert Dean Broadhead passed away at his home in West Jordan on January 18, 2023 at the age of 74. Born in Murray, Utah, to Bonnie and Leo Dean Broadhead on July 8, 1948, he attended local schools and graduated from Murray High. He then went on to serve his country honorably in the US Army – serving 3 overseas tours of duty, including 2 tours in Vietnam. He was self-employed for many years and also worked for 18 years at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed bowling, travelling, and spending time with family. He met his wife Julie Thompson while serving in the Army, they later married on February 14, 1994 in Bozeman, Montana. He is survived by his wife; children: Anna Garbes (Paul), Arlene Broadhead, Andrea Aguilar (Luis), Robert Broadhead Jr (Courtney), and Carlisle Thompson (Jamie); siblings: Sherry Anderson, Connie Mounteer (Terry), Kenneth Broadhead (Shanna), Roxann Black (Gary), and Eugenia Latimer (Gary); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will take place at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. in Murray, a viewing will take place from 6-8 pm on Thursday, January 26 at the mortuary.
