Robert "Bob" Brooks
March 13, 1947-July 8, 2025
Bob Brooks didn't just live - he showed up, helped out, worked hard, loved big, and made everyone around him feel like family. With a warm smile and an open heart, Bob made friends wherever he went, and he never met a person he wasn't willing to help.
He was the guy who'd offer the shirt off his back, help without being asked, and show up when it mattered most. His generosity wasn't flashy; it was steady and sincere. He was as hardworking as he was kind - the type of man who took pride in doing things right and doing them for others.
He loved West Virginia deeply - the mountains, the stillness, the sense of belonging. Whether he was fishing, golfing, or sitting on a porch swapping stories, Bob was at peace when surrounded by what he loved most: nature and people.
At the center of his life was his wife, Sherri. Their partnership was full of laughter, loyalty, and deep, lasting love. He was a proud father of Adam and Scott and daughter in law Mallory as well as PopPop to Amelia, Grace, Colter and Elle. His happiest moments were always with his family - cheering them on, sharing advice, and simply being present.
He brought a little extra light into the world. And yes, every now and then, he slipped in a joke that made us roll our eyes - and love him even more for it.
Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and quiet strength that will live on in every life he touched.
Private service will be held with family.
