Robert Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Curlew Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Robert J. Brown, known affectionately as Bob to his friends and loved ones, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on January 7, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on July 27, 1931, in South Amboy, New Jersey, Bob's life was a testament to the values of hard work, faith, and family. His journey on this earth concluded peacefully as he passed away due to natural causes in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Bob's early life in New Jersey laid a strong foundation for a future filled with accomplishments and service. He pursued his passion for innovation and problem-solving by earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, which propelled him into a fulfilling career. As an engineer and manager at General Electric, Bob was highly respected by his colleagues for his intelligence and generosity. His professional achievements were paralleled by his commitment to pastoral teaching, where he touched many lives with his wisdom and faith-filled spirit.
Bob's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his existence. It influenced every aspect of his life and was evident in the way he lovingly raised his family alongside his beloved wife, Norma Brown, who predeceased him. Together, they nurtured a family that grew to include their children: Rick Brown, Cheryl Parker, and Scott Brown. Bob was a proud grandfather to Jason Brown, Jeremy Parker, Angela Regateiro, Amy Miletti, Katrina Dysinger, Kelley Parker, and Jameson Parker. His legacy continued to expand with the addition of step-grandchildren James Strickland and Casey Sammons, along with 18 great-grandchildren and a cherished great-great-grandchild.
Beyond his professional and family life, Bob had a zest for life's simple pleasures. His interests included golf, woodworking, bowling, and billiards. Each hobby provided an avenue for Bob to form lasting friendships and share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. His gentle demeanor and patient teaching style made him a beloved figure both on and off the green.
Bob will be remembered as a pillar of his community, a devoted servant of God, and a beacon of love for his family. His intelligence and generosity left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. As a man of faith, Bob lived his life as a reflection of Christ's love, embodying kindness and compassion in his every action.
As we mourn the loss of Robert J. Brown, we also celebrate his remarkable life-a life well-lived and full of purpose. We take solace in knowing that he is now reunited with his wife Norma and rests in the eternal peace of Christ. Bob's memory will live on in the stories passed down through his family and in the countless lives he enriched through his presence. His was a life that truly made a difference, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
