Robert D. Cadden Jr.

HANOVER – Robert D. Cadden, Jr., age 89, of Hanover, passed away on May 7, 2022 at home with his family by his side following a long illness. He was the loving husband of Marian M. (Astuto) Cadden; together they shared over 43 years of marriage.
Robert was born in Baltimore, MD on October 11, 1932 and was the son of the late Robert, Sr. and Doris (Schuman) Cadden.
In addition to his loving wife Marian, Robert is survived by his children Debbie Heisch and husband William, and Glenn Cadden and wife Helen; his stepchildren Cheryl Hockensmith and husband Mike, and Jackie Herren and husband Tom; his grandchildren Robert Mellinger, Julia Heisch, Justin Mellinger and wife Amber, Christopher Smith and wife Melissa, Matthew Smith and wife Anna; and his great-grandchildren Reagan, Grant, Oliver, and Judah. He is also survived by many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Cadden and his stepdaughter Robyn Zellmer.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for the family under the direction of Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of McSherrystown.
