Robert Lynn Cahill, 73, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on October 22, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Robert Lyndsey Cahill and Doris Mae Burger.
Robert was a proud United States Marine and carried his service with great honor throughout his life. He also had a passion for playing chess and enjoyed the strategy and thoughtfulness the game required.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Denney) Cahill; his son, Adam Holcomb; daughters, Christina Holcomb (Mark) and Lana Hudnut (Jack); and one beloved grandchild, Mallory Hawks. He also leaves behind his sister, Carol Rainchart (John); a special niece, Sara (Tyler); and a host of other cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert will be remembered for his strength, devotion to family, and proud military service.
At the family's request, no services will be held at this time.
