Robert Paul Carbaugh passed from this life on June 20, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on December 5, 1959, Robert lived a life filled with dedication, hard work, and a love for family, sports, and the outdoors.
A true sports enthusiast, Robert could always be found cheering on his favorite teams, especially the Oklahoma Sooners during football and softball season. He was also a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves. Whether it was watching a game or playing one, Robert found joy and connection through sports. He also loved the peace and challenge of a good round of golf and the quiet satisfaction of a day spent fishing.
Robert had a sharp mind and a natural skill for fixing things. Throughout his life, he worked as a contractor, taking pride in the many maintenance and repair projects he completed. His hands-on work ethic and practical knowledge made him a reliable presence in both his professional and personal life. After a hard day's work, Robert knew how to unwind. He lived life with the same bold spirit as the music he loved-loud and full of energy. Always the life of the party, he had a deep passion for music and never missed a chance to sing along, matching every beat with enthusiasm and volume, in true rock star style.
Above all, Robert was a family man. He is survived by his son, Cory Carbaugh and his wife Nyoka; his daughters, Cary Carbaugh and Lily West-Garett; and his grandchildren, Elijah Harewood, Maya Carbaugh, and Cammellia Swinney. He also leaves behind his sisters, Cathy Shawn and her husband Robert, and Heather Cooley; and his brother, Lee Carbaugh.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Shirly Carbaugh, and his brother, Michael Carbaugh.
He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
