Robert "Bob" Allen Childs, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, was born on March 16, 1946, in Ohio. He peacefully passed away on November 18, 2025, in Salisbury, Maryland, at the age of 79. Bob is remembered for his dedication to service, having bravely served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Known for his passion for all things aviation, Bob spent his career in the airline mechanics industry. His love for aircraft extended beyond his professional life; he was an avid pilot who cherished the freedom of flying. In addition to his love for aviation, Bob enjoyed boating and fishing, often seeking solace in the great outdoors. He was a natural tinkerer, always engaged in projects that fueled his curiosity and creativity.
Bob is survived by his uncle, Samuel Childs (Sandy); sisters-in-law, Patricia Childs and Rita Childs; cousins, Debra Woithe (Robert), Beth Ann Drake, Karen Griffiths (Joseph) and Richard Childs (Beth); and second cousins, Robert, Annabelle, Zachary, Alexandra, Robert, Michael, and Scott. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Berry (James), John Childs, Laura Hass, and Brian Childs (Lisa); grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Gregory, Jackson, MacKenzie, Emily, Sara, Alexander, David, Christopher, and Kayley; and dear friends Babak Razmjou (Fatemeh) and Dennis Meeh (Kathy), all of whom he loved dearly.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Myra "Dot" Childs; uncles Thomas and Robert Childs (Jean); and brothers, David and Terry Childs.
Friends and family will gather to honor Bob's life, sharing memories and celebrating the impact he made on those around him at a later date.
Bob's legacy will live on through the love he shared with his family and friends, and he will be remembered as a passionate and caring soul who embraced life to the fullest.
