Robert Cloum Obituary
Robert Joseph Cloum, age 81, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Robert was born on March 12, 1942, in Monroe, Michigan; he was the son of Alfred and Clara (Engle) Cloum. He married Judith A. Windels on August 17, 1963.
Robert attended school in Monroe County.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968.
Robert retired in 1993 from General Motors-Willow Run after 32 years of service. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1138 in Monroe. Robert's love in life was his family; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his cabin and playing pool.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; four daughters; Michelle Cloum, Julie Cloum, Kari (Chuck) Procy and Bobbie (Sean) Price; five grandchildren, Robert Procy, Gage Procy, Clay Procy, Teigan Price and Abeigail Valley; two brothers, Alfred Cloum and Charles Cloum; one sister, Gloria (Paul) Bussell as well as his nieces, nephews, many other loving family and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Cloum and Anthony Cloum and one sister Barbara Fox.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Allore Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave., Monroe. The Funeral Service is on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11 am at the funeral home; Chaplain Frederick R. Cislo will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe
