Robert 'Bob' Cox, 91, passed away at his home in Santa Rosa on July 25, 2025. He was born on his mother's family farm in Oklahoma, a son of Walter and Helen Cox. Bob grew up in Pasadena. He was a graduate of Pasadena High School, where he was an outstanding football player. In 1951, he entered the US Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. After the service, he graduated with a degree in Drafting from Pasadena City College, where he also played football.

Bob moved to Northern California in the mid 1960's. He married Mary Ann Sharp and moved to Santa Rosa in 1977. In Santa Rosa, he worked for Hewlett Packard until his retirement. Bob was a fanatic about physical fitness and continued going to the gym five days a week into his eighties. He volunteered coaching for the Santa Rosa Express Track Club, at Santa Rosa High School, and at the Santa Rosa Junior College.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ronald and Jimmy. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Mary Ann Cox; and his children, Vince, Nora and Trina Cox.

Private Graveside services will be held at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hayward. A celebration of his life is being planned for a later date.
