Robert A. Crago, age 80, of Guys Mills passed away on Saturday afternoon May 10, 2025, in Meadville Medical Center TCU after an extended illness.
He was born on March 13, 1945, the son of J. Adam and Mildred (Hoyt) Crago.
Bob graduated from Randolph East Mead High in 1963. On June 10, 1966, Bob married his high school sweetheart Janet Walter, and they enjoyed life together for 58 years.
He was employed by Greenleaf Corp. in Saegertown, retiring in 2008 with 44 years of service after retiring, he drove cars for Wentworth Auto Sales.
Bob enjoyed classic cars, camping, helping others and keeping his property in tip-top shape. He loved sports, especially basketball. He played in high school and helped coach girls’ basketball at Maplewood and Saegertown High School and Allegheny College. Bob loved his family very much.
He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by a son David (Lisa) Crago of Townville and a daughter Tricia (Rick) Skinner of Titusville. Five grandchildren, Sydney Crago and her partner Jake Durr, Meredith (Michael) Guterwill and Mark Crago, Kai (Brooke) Skinner and Cade Skinner and his partner Emily Harrison and a great granddaughter Scottie Skinner. Two sisters Helen Gross and Alice Humes. Three brothers Charles (Nancy) Crago, Richard Crago, and James (Dorothy) Crago and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother W. Paul Crago.
The family would like to express their sincere thank you to the entire staff at TCU for their excellent care, love, and support given to Bob.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville PA 16335, or the charity of your choice.
