Southbridge: Robert L. Daigneault, 56, of N. Woodstock Rd., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Nov. 15th, surrounded by his loving family, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
He leaves his beloved wife of 34 years, Michelle A. (Julian) Daigneault; his son, John M. Daigneault of Southbridge; his daughter, Julie A. Daigneault and her fiancé, Derek Patricks of Southbridge; three cherished grandchildren, Ryder, Destiny and Savannah. His parents, Pierre R. and Carol Ann (Whiting) Daigneault; his two brothers, David Daigneault and his husband Paul Bartlett and Paul Daigneault of Sturbridge; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was born in Southbridge and worked as a truck driver for 25 years for Pratt Trucking and most recently for Jim Pioppi Construction. Robert was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
His funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 28th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am in Notre Dame Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 446 Main St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, N. Woodstock Rd., Southbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27th, from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Care Central VNA and Hospice, 534 School St., Webster, MA 01570.
