Robert Steven Daniel "Steve", 61, a native of Athens, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Born on October 14, 1959, he was the son of Jean Kittle Daniel and the late Robert Franklin Daniel.
Steve was of Christian Faith & a lover of God. He loved fishing, playing guitar, playing baseball and sound engineering. He worked in construction as a carpenter, running his own business for many years. Steve was a selfless, devoted man who loved his wife and family and was described by his brother as being his hero.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alma & Elijah Kittle, Bailey & Essie Daniel; uncles, Robert Kittle, Tommy Kittle, Doug Harris; aunt, Doris Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Daniel; children, Elizabeth Brock (Stephen), Amber Daniel, Victoria Roberds (Michael); mother, Jean Daniel; grandchildren, Waylon Brock, Emeline Brock, Stevie Brock, Ivy Sinyard; brother, Derek Daniel (Lori); aunts, Shirley Kittle, Sandra Kittle, Evelyn Hix; uncle, Donald Hix; mother-in-law, Barbara McCook; brother & sister-in-law, Len McCook (Janie); nieces, Lindsey Daniel, Laura Thompson (Trey); nephew, Timothy Daniel, Jr. (Virginia), Josh McCook (Charlie); great nephew, Aden Daniel; and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home West Chapel with Pastors Joel Balan and Johnny Crist officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior from 12:00pm to 2:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include Wayne McCarty, Travis Payne, Stephen Brock, Danny Gorman, Michael Roberds, Richard Cox.
