Robert Davis Obituary
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Robert served his country with honor and dedication. His commitment to service was a testament to his strength of character and his deep love for his nation.
Robert's passion for life was evident in his many interests. He was an avid golf player, often found perfecting his swing on the lush greens of City Park.
Fishing with his brother, Joseph, was another of Robert's joys, a pastime that allowed him to revel in the tranquility of nature. He would spend hours by the water, content in the simplicity of the moment. It was the experience itself that he treasured.
Robert also found great joy in playing the clarinet, a passion that brought music and warmth to those around him.
Robert's legacy is carried on by his loving brother, Joseph Davis Jr. and his wife Rosalie; his adoring nieces and nephew, Charlie and his wife Cherie, Melissa and her husband Luis, and Jennifer and her husband Jason; and his cherished great-nieces and nephews, Sophia, Ethan, Adam, Kaleb, and Kendall. Each of them will hold dear the memories of Robert's kindness, his laughter, and the warmth of his presence.
Robert James Davis lived a life marked by love, service, and the joy of his many pursuits. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind. As we say farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate the indelible mark he has left on the world and the countless lives he has touched.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM until service time. Burial is to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
