I am deeply saddened by the loss of Sister G. Brent. I am lost for words, but please know that I care. I have such fond memories when I would share praline candy in church. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones. With deepest sympathy at this time of sorrow, Wishing you peace and comfort. Emma

Too-Too was an incredibly strong, loving, and caring person who had a giant golden heart. She taught every child she could to read. She had me reading, telling time, and tying my shoes before I turned five. She let me tag along every chance there was. When her baby sister passed away, she bravely stood up and became parent to my brother (19) and I (14); she invited two more teenagers into her home for a total of four. I have no idea where she pulled the strength from, especially since it had only been a few months since she lost her own Mother (Momie). We were in the church house every time the doors were open. Sunday school, church service (11am & 6pm), Baptist Training Union (BTU), choir rehearsal, bible study, vacation bible school, she had us in the church for it all. She got us, all four, through high school, college, and to the alter. Even in adulthood she never let us go. I could never be grateful enough for all she did for me. But I am as grateful as I possibly can be for all of the loving care, kindness, and support she always freely provided. Thank you, Bridgette & Billy for sharing your Mother with me. I know Too-Too is resting in Jesus arms, happy, peaceful, and free!
