Rosalie Fenasci Salsiccia, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Metairie, Louisiana. Born on June 7, 1946, in the vibrant city of
New Orleans, Louisiana, Rosalie's life was a testament to the power of a nurturing spirit and the beauty of a life dedicated to others. Her legacy is carried on by her three loving children, Jeffrey Salsiccia (Stacey), Jason Salsiccia (Aaron Wong), and Jessica Salsiccia (Matthew Perrone), who were the center of her world, along with her cherished grandchildren, Jake and Payton Salsiccia.
Rosalie's early life in New Orleans set the stage for a lifetime of caring and education, beginning with her graduation from John McDonough High School. Her natural inclination toward nurturing led her to a fulfilling career as a Teacher's Aide at St. Ann's Catholic School in Metairie, where she touched the lives of countless students over a decade of devoted service.
Her love extended far beyond her immediate family to her siblings, Debra Gostl (Robert), Gertrude Perniciaro, Katie Veron, Harold Fenasci, and Eugene Fenasci, as well as her sister-in-law, Dianne Brocato (Ron). She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, who will remember her for her boundless love and the thoughtful guidance she provided throughout their lives.
Rosalie was predeceased by her loving husband of over 30 years, Bruce Salsiccia; her parents, Harold Emile Fenasci and Josephine Ragusa Fenasci; her siblings, Joseph Fenasci (Linda) and Edward Fenasci (Nancy); and her brother-in-law, Wayne Salsiccia. These losses only deepened her understanding of the preciousness of family bonds and the importance of cherishing every moment together.
Rosalie's world was one where children and animals thrived under her care; she believed that every creature, big or small, deserved love and kindness. Her beautiful garden reflected her inner joy, blooming with flowers that attracted a symphony of life and color.
Those who knew Rosalie would describe her as loving, kind, and thoughtful, a down-to-earth person who found joy in life's simple pleasures. Her warm presence and gentle smile were a source of comfort and happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
