Beverly, MA - Robert E. Donaher, 96, of Beverly, passed away on June 26, 2024 at the Ledgewood Nursing and Rehab center. Son of the late Edward M. and Ethel M. (Sullivan) Donaher and widow of the late Ella (Culliton), Robert was born and raised in Revere.
After high school, Robert served as a Merchant Marine in the Coast Guard during WWII from 1944 to 1945. After an honorable discharge, he enlisted in the Marine Corps from August of 1945 to August of 1946. After another honorable discharge, he enlisted in the Army National Guard and served until 1966, reaching the rank of Sargeant. He also worked a fulfilling career as a Clerk for the United State Postal Service.
Robert is survived by his significant other Grace Orner of Beverly and his brother Joseph Donaher of Virginia Beach, VA as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers William and Edward. Services for Robert are private at the request of the family.
