Robert F. Duffy of Potomac, MD, formerly of Dunmore, PA, passed away on June 24, 2022. He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia Nolan, also formerly of Dunmore. He was the son of the late Joseph J. and Elizabeth O'Malley Duffy of Dunmore.
Robert was a graduate of Dunmore High School, and a magna cum laude graduate in physics from The University of Scranton. He had a long career in the aerospace and defense industry, employed by IBM Corporation's Federal Systems Division, and later Loral and Lockheed Martin, Corp. in Gaithersburg, MD. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Potomac, MD.
Robert is also survived by his daughter, Erin (Sean) Conaton of Alexandria, VA; his son, Robert, of Frederick, MD; his grandchildren, William, Norah and Cathleen Conaton, and several nieces and nephews. His brothers, Joseph A. Duffy and Donald E. Duffy, and his sister in law, Lorraine Boyle Duffy predeceased him.
The private burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Dunmore.
