Robert Patrick Dunning, 84 of Bridgman went to be with his Lord on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.
Funeral Services: 11AM Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church, Bridgman. Burial: Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Visitation: 5-7 PM Friday, February 26 at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Bob was born May 28, 1936 in Benton Harbor the son of Robert W. and Ida (Gilson) Dunning. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, old westerns and spending time up north in the cabin on Lake Connamara. He also enjoyed going to Weko Beach and listening to Taps. Robert was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bridgman and retired from C&S Machine Products.
Survivors include his children: Michael (Genise) Dunning, Michelle Brodock, Doreena Dunning, Devinnie (John) Wysocki, Darren (Sarah Hays) Dunning, David Berry and Donna Dunning; mother: Ida Gilson Richter; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother: Steve Richter; sister: Lori (Craig) Mandenberg; sister-in-law: Carol “Sue” Dunning.
On August 1, 1987 he married Betty Mensinger and she preceded him in death on October 12, 2018. Survivors also include her children: Lynn (Vickye) Mensinger, Kathy (Robert Jr.) Long, Dennis (Debra) Mensinger, Donald Mensinger, James Mensinger and Nancy Mensinger.
Bob was also preceded in death by his father: Robert Dunning; step-father: Russell Richter; brother: James Dunning and two grandsons, Kyle and Ryan Mensinger.
