Robert Dee English, 55, passed away surrounded by his wife and children on June 25, 2024.
Robert was born on October 29, 1968 to Virgil and Mary English in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1986, then continued his education and received a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University. In 1991, he met Susan Beth Thomas, and they wed in 1994, going on to have two children, Carrigan and Jonathan.
Robert primarily worked as an automobile repair sales consultant for 34 years, yet he spent his spare evenings and weekends assisting members of the community with lawn care and maintenance. Robert's selflessness knew no bounds, as he always put others before himself.
Robert was a devoted husband and loving father, whose morals are instilled in his children today. He taught Carrigan the importance of perseverance and patience, and he taught Jonathan the value of a good work ethic.
Robert enjoyed running, golfing, deep sea fishing, attending concerts, and cheering on the LSU Tigers.
Robert is survived by his Wife, Susan English; his Daughter, Carrigan English; his Son, Jonathan English; and his Father, Virgil English. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Mary English.
Funeral services for Robert will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 1, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 204 Patton Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2100 Texas Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Gabriel Cisneros Campos. Forest Park Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Rob was a great friend of Theresa and I as Theresa has known him since high school and I later met him in college. We lived close to Rob and sue in bossier and we talked almost every Saturday and Sunday during football season regarding those tigers and rebels on Saturday and this who datting saints on Sunday! Rob spoke of family and how much they had accomplished almost every conversation we had. He never missed that opportunity to say how happy he was with his family. A great man all around taken way too soon! It´s a sad day and you´ll be really missed and more missed during football season. Lol. Just say "hi" to all our friends and family in heaven! You´re gone brother from this earth but will never be forgotten!
