Robert P. Evanchik, 67 years old, of Norwalk, CT passed away suddenly on Monday, March 13, 2023. He was born in Stamford, CT on August 2, 1955, and he was the son of Peter and Mary Ghiandoni Evanchik of Stamford. He attended and was a graduate of Norwalk Technical College in CT & Pratt Institute in NY. He worked for many years in the logistics & facility management/construction industry for many large corporations in the tri state area some of which being IBM, British Airways, Trammell Crow, CBRE,Washington Mutual, Bank of America, etc. His current position was with Genpact Corporation in NYC where he was a AVP Infrastructure & logistics.
Robert was always in management and was a very intelligent and kind person and well loved by many of his colleagues and friends. He was known for his calm and soothing demeanor and willingness to help others and go the extra mile. He was an avid boater most of his life and loved to sail and cruise the CT sound with friends and family. He was a world traveler and was able to share his love of travel with his family yearly. Frequently traveling to Europe and spending many fun times in the Greek Islands while working for British Airways. His 13 year old son Robert was the love of his life and he was so proud to be a father at 53 years old. Robert will be deeply missed by his family who understood him most and appreciated all the loving things he did to keep everyone happy and comfortable. He rarely said NO to those he loved and had a BIG heart to help others succeed.
Robert is survived by his wife, Susan Kindle of Norwalk, CT and his 13-year-old son Robert Harold Peter Evanchik. Robert also has a brother Michael Evanchik (wife Dawn) of Sebastian, FL, a niece Kara Evanchik (husband Owen) of Sebastian, Florida and a nephew Michael Evanchik (wife Pam) of New Jersey and many cousins and friends in Fairfield county and elsewhere.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated of Friday, March 17, at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will be private.
