Robert Anthony Fabre, born on June 29, 1948, passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 75.
Robert (aka "Coach") was born in New Orleans, and was a longtime resident Scott, where he decided to retire after decades of teaching English and coaching high school football (Carencro, Holy Cross, Archbishop Shaw, East St. John, St. Amant, Jesuit, and Acadiana High Schools). He
retired from Acadiana (Wreckin' Rams) High School in Scott where he won the 2006 LHSAA 5A State Championship.
Robert is survived by his brother, Jack Fabre (wife, Michelle).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Henry Fabre and Geraldine Tucker Fabre; his brother, Gerald Fabre; sister, Kathleen Fabre; and brother, Kevin Fabre.
Robert will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor and intellect. He enjoyed trivia, scrabble (his vocabulary was outstanding), reading and, most of all, FOOTBALL season when he was able to root for his teams! In his earlier years, he enjoyed taking annual fishing trips with
his friends to Grand Isle. Above all, he truly loved and cherished his family.
He will be forever remembered in our hearts and in our memories and will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Private burial services are scheduled for Tuesday December 19th in New Orleans.
