Robert "Bob" Gamboa, age 60, passed away on July 31, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on January 20, 1965, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Bob was a beloved presence whose warmth and kindness touched many.
Affectionately known as a loving gentle giant, Bob was a family man with a huge heart. His presence brought comfort and strength to those around him, and his unwavering support for his loved ones left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his sisters Dolores Mejia and Yolanda Alaniz; his brothers Hector Gamboa and wife Mary Ann Gamboa, and Sam Gamboa and wife Cindy Gamboa; as well as sisters-in-law Velma Gamboa and Rose Marie M. Gamboa. His memory is also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father Conrad Gamboa, Mother Elisa Gamboa, sister Rose Marroquin, and brothers Conrad Gamboa Jr., Daniel Gamboa, and Richard Gamboa, and brother in-law Jim Alaniz.
May Bob Gamboa's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire love and compassion in the hearts of many.
Visitations will be held on Thursday August 7, 2025, from 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM at M.E. Rodriguez Funeral Home 511 Guadalupe Street.
A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday August 7, 2025, from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM at M.E. Rodriguez Funeral Home 511 Guadalupe Street.
Final Visitations will be held on Friday August 8, 2025, from 08:30 AM to 09:00 AM at M.E Rodriguez Funeral Home 511 Guadalupe Street.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westlawn Baptist Church 330 S. San Dario.
Graveside Service will be held on August 8, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Eastview Cemetery 3550 Roland Rd
