Robert Joe Hammack

Robert Joe Hammack Jr. "Joe-Joe", 71 years old, beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and friend, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 21, 2024. He entered this world on June 16, 1953, born to Hilda and Reverend Joe Hammack, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Robert is survived by his devoted and loving Companion, Rosie; daughter, Robbi J. Bowen; grandson, Elijah Bowen; granddaughter, Juliea Bowen; great-granddaughter, Bleau Elaine; 4 sisters, Paula Swearingen (Richard), Sharon Walls (AJ), Cynthia Lott, and Judy Hammack; 3 step-brothers, David, Sam and Phillip Townley; step-sister, Elaine; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Joe Hammack and Hilda C. Hammack; step-mother, Margaret A. Hammack; niece, Vickie Ramsay; grandparents, Luther and Odie Hammack and David and Edmona Cupid.

Serving as pallbearers will be Elijah Bowen, Anthony Walls, Collin Walls, Ethan Ballard, Hunter Ballard, Spencer Ramsay, Garrett Ramsay, and Jacob Myers.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:30 AM, officiated by Reverend Ray Abbott, Cayden Walls, and Nick Hager. The graveside service and burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, in Zachary, Louisiana.
