Funeral Services for Robert Keith Holston, Sr., age 75, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024,
at 1:00 pm (1300 hours) at Burgetown Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Carriere, MS.
Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Burgetown Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; and also on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, service time.
Service will be officiated by Rev. Stacy Thomas, Rev. J. Michael Wilson, Rev. Robby Holston, Rev. Joshua Johnson, Rev. Wayne Wilson, and Rev. Cody Moody.
Burial will be in Burgetown Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Behulah Holston, as well as two brothers, Kenny Holston and Clinton Creel, and one sister, Glenda Mae Westbrook.
Robert Keith Holston, Sr. is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Kathy Spiers Holston, and his loving family, including his son, Rev. Robert Keith "Robby" (Eugenia) Holston, Jr.; his daughters, Dr. Rachelle Holston, and Kassie Holston; his grandchildren, Robert K. Holston, III "Trey" and Olivia Breanne Holston; his sister, Bonnie Jean Whitfield; and brothers, Kelly (Sue) Holston and Kalvin (Bonnie 2) Holston.
Keith was a decorated Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country. He joined the United States Navy in 1966 and completed three tours during the Vietnam Conflict. After more than 30 years of dedicated service, he retired from LoneStar/Buzzi Unicem USA in New Orleans.
He was also a devoted member of the Burgetown Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, serving as Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Church Secretary and Treasurer, and Youth Leader. Mentoring young people was his calling. He was a member of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ Gulf Coast District since 1988.
An avid fisherman and a true family man, Keith cherished his children and grandchildren. He took pride in being a patriot, a loving husband, an exceptional father, and a loyal friend. His love for his church and church family was evident in all aspects of his life.
In retirement, Keith found joy in working with his cattle and spending peaceful days on the farm. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his country, and his faith.
