Robert T. Hopping "Erskie", 52 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday February 5, 2025 at St Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his mother Janice Draper and her husband Wayne; his wife Melanie Hopping of 21 years; his children Jenna, Justin, Jason, Robert, and Krista Hopping and her fiancé Tom DeLorenzo; his granddaughter Brittany Porphy; his brothers Richard Hopping and Kyle Draper and his wife Brittany; cousins Heather and Chris "BLB" Hopping, Keith "Kiko" Larsen, Kim MacGillivray and her husband Kevin; uncle Buzz Draper, best friend Don Glasser and his wife Jenny; and many more family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father Robert S. Hopping, grandparents Don and Gloria Burdge, his grandparents Raymond and Ruby Hopping, his Aunt Chrisanne Hopping, Uncle Joseph Burdge, Uncle Gary Knodler, and Cousin Craig Hopping.
He worked for Glass Gardens Shoprites for 33 years as a professional baker who was legendary. He enjoyed his hobby of fishing to his last day. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his buddies. One thing to mention is that he loved nature and now can be free in it eternally. Until we meet again, Rest in Peace.
Services are being handled by Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10 Randolph, NJ 07869. There will be a public visitation on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Funeral Service at 7:00pm.
