Robert Hudler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Oak Ridge Funeral Care - Winter Haven on Mar. 9, 2024.
Obituary of Robert Hudler
Robert Carl Hudler, 77, of Lake Alfred, passed away on March 6, 2024. Born in Charleroi, PA, he later found himself in Sacramento, CA for sometime before coming to Florida in 1991 to start a new life for his family.
Bob was an owner-operator driving an 18 wheeler cross country for 47 years. He had a passion for all things on wheels and could fix anything under the hood. He was a die hard NASCAR fan. Bob was always found as the life of the party while he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was also a nature lover who saw the beauty in all the simple things. One of his favorite sayings: It's a beautiful day, just beautiful.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, William and Hannah Hudler; brother, Frank Hudler; sisters, Carol Alton and Loretta Rice. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Merilin; daughters, Elizabeth Dean and Kelly Scarborough, with son in laws Terry Dean and Jeremy Scarborough; grandchilden, Dallas Dean, Maleah Dean and Fischer Scarborough; brothers, Bill (Sammy) Hudler and Dan (Debbie) Hudler.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert Hudler was my Uncle by marriage. I am fortunate to be married to his nephew Frank.
Bob told funny stories. Sometimes more than once. When he laughed he snorted. So you know he thought it was funny.
When there were murders at my daughter´s college, he offered to drive there and get her. How many men in there seventies would offer to do that from Florida. He told Rachel over the phone , he would teach her to shoot.
He loved his family.

Rest in peace dear Uncle Bob.
Sending love from the Pacific Northwest.
Sincerely,
Annie
