Robert B. Hunnell Jr.

Robert B. Hunnell, Jr., age 78 of Moundsville, WV died Thursday, March 13, 2025 in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.
He was born July 2, 1946 in Steubenville, OH the son of the late Robert, Sr. and Catherine McAvoy Hunnell.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; and he loved to work, especially doing tire reports.
He was well known in the Tire Industry having started his career at Tire America, where he would serve as President and then VP at Goodyear North American Retail Sales. He then worked at Allied Tire as a consultant, before opening Auto Choice, with his children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Burkett.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Becky Hunnell; a daughter, Peggy Kent of Glen Dale, WV; three sons, Robert, III (Jessica) Hunnell, John (Janet) Hunnell, and William (Brea) Hunnell, all of Moundsville; nine grandchildren, Catherine (Zachary Birkett) Hunnell, Brooke and John Hunnell, Brian Kent, II, Madelyn, William and Emma Hunnell, and Paige and Faith Hunnell; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 12-3 & 5-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where Vigil Services will be held at 3pm.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 610 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville with and Fr. Joseph Augustine as celebrant.
Entombment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
