Robert was born on July 1, 1957, to Keith Burns Jackson and Vera Juanita Jackson in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
A proud graduate of Northwood High School, Falcon Class of ’75, Robert pursued his passion for agriculture shortly after graduation. He dedicated years to the family business, A-Perm-O-Green Lawn, where he managed fertilization services with care and expertise. Inspired by his father’s entrepreneurial spirit, he later forged his own path, creating a successful business specializing in lawn maintenance and liquid fertilization, a career that sustained him until his well-earned retirement.
Beyond his work, Robert was a man of many interests, always eager to explore the world around him. He found joy in snow skiing, antiques, music, and history, each hobby reflecting his curiosity and appreciation for life’s treasures. As a passionate collector, he was deeply devoted to numismatics, the study and collection of currency, including coins, tokens, paper money, and medals. His love for learning and preserving history was evident in everything he did.
Yet, above all, Robert cherished his family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him, effortlessly making others laugh and brightening even the dullest of days. His faith was the foundation of his life, and his love for the Lord guided him in all he did.
Robert will be deeply missed but forever remembered. His laughter, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, and his legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Keith Burns Jackson and Vera Juanita Jackson of Shreveport, Louisiana. He is survived by sister, Brenda Jackson White, and husband, Mike; son, Barrett Neel Jackson, and wife, Ashley; stepson, Austin Lee Turner, and wife, Elizabeth; granddaughters, Madisyn Lynn Jackson, Hayden Grace Jackson, and a new little Jackson on the way. Along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
