In 1984, Bob became a partner with his father in the family business, A&B Flooring. Following his father's retirement, Bob continued operating the business as sole proprietor until his own retirement in 2015. His dedication to quality craftsmanship and strong work ethic earned him an exceptional reputation among his clients and peers.
During the 1970s, Bob served as president of the Merrimack Valley Van Club, attending numerous truck-in festivals with his wife and friends. He proudly maintained his original muraled van, a cherished reminder of many joyful family memories.
Bob was also a devoted member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #65 in Lawrence. As a life member and two-time Exalted Ruler, he dedicated countless hours to supporting charitable causes and community events.
Family was the heart of Bob's world. He, his wife Melinda, and their children and grandchildren spent many treasured summers together on Lake Winnipesaukee. In retirement, Bob and Melinda divided their time between New Hampshire and Florida, where they enjoyed the sunshine, endless rounds of golf, and the company of dear friends. A passionate golfer and lifelong Boston Bruins fan, Bob held season tickets for many years and loved sharing his enthusiasm for the game with his family.
