Robert Laskowski

Robert D. Laskowski, age 88, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
He was born in Erie on March 5, 1936 the youngest of 15 children of the late Adam and Stella Rychlinski Laskowski.
He graduated from East High School in 1954 where he excelled at Track and Field and the Speech and Debate Team. He stayed in touch with his classmates and attended every reunion.
He retired from the US Postal Service after 45 years of dedicated service where he received many awards and accommodations. After retirement, he worked for several years at the Kahkwa Club as a gardener.
He was an avid golfer and was proudly involved in the annual Brothers Bowling Tournament. He loved to tell jokes and was a member of the East Erie Turners, the Huzar Club and the Siebenbuerger Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Luci Krauchen Laskowski in 1982, his second wife, Jeanne Richards Laskowski in 2023, his siblings, Sigismunt "Ziggy", Stanley, Theodore "Ted", John "Johnny", Walter "Joe", Matthew "Matt", Joseph "Joey", Leo, Mary Jaworek, Nancy Kirsch, Gladys Bava, Iona "Lil" Maiser, Frances "Franny" Kramer and Loretta Balkovic.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen Heasley (Brad) of Erie, a son, Jeff Laskowski (Mary) of Gig Harbor, WA, grandchildren, Jenna Heasley (Geoff) of Chicago, IL, Robert Heasley (Shanna) of Erie, Dieter Laskowski of Seattle, WA and Alex Laskowski of Olalla, WA, a great-grandson, Maddox Heasley, step-children, Kimberly Emerling of Erie, Jack Trochowski (Karen) of Erie and Jennifer Trochowski (Bert) of Erie, step-grandchildren, Emmalee Campbell, Austin Howard and Logan and Aiden Emerling. Many Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Friends may call on Friday, August 23 at the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc from 4 pm until 7 pm and are invited to the Funeral Mass on Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10 am. Burial will be private. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com
