Robert Eugene "Bob" Ledford

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Eugene "Bob" Ledford, who went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2026, at the age of 91, in Clyde, North Carolina.

Bob was a loving father, a devoted husband of 68 years, and above all, a faithful servant of God. One of his greatest legacies was introducing his family to Jesus Christ, planting seeds of faith that will continue to grow for generations. His unwavering devotion to the Lord shaped not only his life but the lives of those around him.

He was a skilled builder and contractor, known for his strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and dedication. Whether building homes or building relationships, Bob put his heart into everything he did.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved son, Mark Ledford; his parents, J.W. "Short" Ledford and Vera Ledford; his brother, Bill Ledford; and his precious great-granddaughter, Gabby.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Marcella Ann Ledford; his sons, Andrew Ledford and Matthew Ledford; his daughters-in-law, Lucinda, Lisa, and Jennifer; his grandsons, Isaac Ledford (Katherine), Patrick Ledford (Taylor), and Phillip Ledford (Mae); his granddaughter, Heather Ledford; his great-grandsons, Connor, Colton, Ty, and Chase; his great-granddaughters, Ashley and Josie.

Though our hearts ache with his absence, we take comfort in knowing - without a shadow of a doubt - that Bob is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His life was a testimony of faith, love, and perseverance, and his legacy will live on in all who were blessed to know him.

You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Until we meet again.

The family will be planning a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
