He joined the Navy at a very young age to serve his country. He was a hardworking, private, quiet, gentleman. He loved cooking, animals, and the outdoors.
Survivors include His brother Larry E. Link; His only son Bobby R. Link and daughter-in-law Dana Link; daughter Janice Shaw and son-in-law Scott Shaw, and daughter Jennifer Link; grandchildren: Ashleigh Link, Bianca Link, Oakley Link, Joseph Shaw, Kyle Shaw, Chad Holt, and Savannah Harper; great-grandchildren: Jacob Mace, Bentley Link, Elowyn Shaw, and Maverick Shaw.
Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is in care of arrangements.
Visitations will be held for the family from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at The Trahan Family Funeral Home.

Robert was a generally quiet, hardworking man. Yet, when I pressed him to speak about his faith he respectfully told me that he believed, but was humbled by how much his wife loved the Lord.
We had several conversations after Nancy passed and he was always smiling, pleasant, but sad... I know he knew who Jesus is, but he didn´t quite fit in a church setting and was needing friends much more than he needed a friendly church!
Robert wanted Peace and mostly wanted that Peace for his family! He may not have always had that peace here, but he does now!
