Robert W. MacGrath

Robert W. MacGrath, 93, of Perrysburg, Ohio, and longtime resident of Wayne, New Jersey passed away on Monday January 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife. He was born on July 14, 1931, to the late James and Edith (Whitney) MacGrath in Newark, New Jersey. He married Linda Paul on January 8, 1983, and she survives in Perrysburg.
Bob graduated from Clifford Scott high school in New Jersey. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served our country proud for 4 years. He worked as a repair manager at Bendix Corporation, a company that designs and manufactures parts and systems for vehicles and aircraft. After retirement Bob and his wife traveled the United States and Canada in their travel trailer. They wintered in Florida, eventually moving to Sarasota Florida full time. Bob was a 15-year volunteer at Myakka River State Park. He utilized his handyman skills building, painting and fixing things. He sang in numerous choirs praising the Lord for 70 years. He was a member of Wayne Presbyterian Church in Wayne, New Jersey and The Church of the Palms in Sarasota, Florida. Above all else, Bob cherished spending time with his family.
Along with his beloved wife, Linda, Bob is survived by his children, Sharon (Rick) McGrogan of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, Nancy (Fred) Soule of Kinnelon, New Jersey, James (Lisa) MacGrath of Pequannock, New Jersey, Theresa Cusmano of Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, Robert MacGrath of Springdale, Utah, step-sons Duane (Jane) Paul of Perrysburg, Ohio, Michael (Chris) Paul of Vernon, New Jersey, step-daughter Deborah (Alan) Schell of Glenwood, New Jersey, his 12 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-greatgrandchild. He will truly be missed by all.
A memorial service for Bob will be held in Wayne, New Jersey at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home 7220 Dutch Road Waterville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
