Graveside services for Robert "Frank" Machen, 85, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Aulds Chapel Cemetery, Downsville, Louisiana under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. Bro. Neil Everett will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, April 21, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Frank was born on June 8, 1939 in Downsville and passed away on April 18, 2025 in West Monroe surrounded by family. After graduating from NLU, Frank enjoyed a 30+ year career with the Ouachita Parish School System serving in various roles throughout his career. After many years of service, he retired as Principal of West Monroe High School. He was also a member of First Baptist Church, West Monroe. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy S. Machen; son, Robert Frank Machen, Jr.; and parents, Loyd Machen and Lillian Aulds Machen.
Frank is survived by his children, Leanne Williams and husband Trent, David Machen and wife Lori; daughter-in-law, Wendy Machen; grandchildren, Jennifer Dietz (Chris), Rachel Albough (Paul), Michael Machen (Shayne), Robert Machen, Sergejs Williams, Marija Williams, Anna Mouton (Ethan), Ashley Numak (Thomas), Megan Pinder (David Michael) and Chase Woodard (Stormie); 16 great-grandchildren; along with other extended family and friends.
The family would like to say thank you to Louisiana Hospice and staff and to the staff at The Columns of West Monroe Memory Care Unit.
