Robert E Maday

Beloved husband and father Robert "Bob" E. Maday of Antioch, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2024 at the age of 73.
Bob was born on July 19, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mary and Richard Maday. He attended Gordon Tech High School, where he shined as a star hockey player. After high school he moved to Des Plaines, Illinois, where he met and married Deborah (Johnson) Maday. Together, they raised two children, Michelle and Casey, of whom Bob was immensely proud. Later the family moved to Antioch, IL where Bob built the family home and pursued his dream of having a small farm.
For many years, Bob dedicated himself to his career as a Union Pipefitter, showcasing his skill and dedication to his craft. In addition to his work in the trades, he was an entrepreneur at heart. He founded two successful businesses: Premium Porkers, where he specialized in raising and selling high-quality pork products, and later, he channeled his creativity and talent into Welded Artwork, a metal art business, leaving behind unique and beautiful creations.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Bob found joy in the serene pastime of fishing. In retirement, he cherished the opportunity to embark on fishing adventures accompanied by his son Casey, exploring the Florida waters. Bob was very witty, loved to tell jokes and often lended a hand to others when they needed assistance with a project or home repair.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Deborah (Johnson) Maday, daughter Michelle Maday, son Casey Maday, and daughter-in-law Erin Bodnar, mother Mary Maday, several siblings, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Maday.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Robert's life and legacy. The family asks
