Robert F. "Bob" Martin, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at his quiet home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on July 15, 1946, in Ballston Spa, NY and was the son of the late Robert A. and Marion (Conde) Martin.
Bob graduated from Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School with the class of 1964. He married the former Linda Bogue in 1968. They bought a house in Ballston Spa where they resided for sixteen years before settling in Charlton for the rest of their lives. Bob worked for many years at Shenendehowa Central School District as a building supervisor.
From the age of sixteen, Bob served as a firefighter and was a member of the Charlton Fire Department. While his children were growing up, Bob coached their little league and soccer teams. He was also a board member of Charlton Historical Society and President of Pine Grove Cemetery for many years. In his free time, Bob greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood crafting.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Linda L. Martin; his loving children Robert R. (Cari) Martin, Daniel P. (Stacey) Martin, and Holly L. (Jason) Patrick; and his dear grandchildren Kimberly Martin, Stephanie Martin, Riley Martin, Aidan Martin, Alexis Patrick, and Keira Patrick.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Bush.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Charlton, NY.
