MORENCI - Robert E. Mohr of Morenci, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Lynwood Manor under the care of Hospice of Lenawee at the age of 71. Bob was born on November 8, 1950, son of Fred and Geraldine Mohr.
Bob was a graduate of Morenci High School, proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a devoted member of the Morenci Fire Department for over 52 years; serving as chief for several years. He loved working on projects around the house and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was an avid supporter of the Adrian College Hockey Team.
Surviving Bob is his daughter, Brenda Mohr; son, Douglas (Kaycee) Mohr; grandchildren, AJ, Landon, Jase, and Jemah; and special friend, Shirley Vanderpool. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bernice Marten; and brother-in-law, Harold Marten.
Funeral services for Bob, celebrating his life, will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Morenci with Rev. William Van Valkenburg officiating. There will be a fire department walk-thru at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Morenci, with military honors accorded by the Morenci American Legion, and fire department honors accorded by the Morenci Fire Department with assistance from the following departments: Wauseon, Gorham-Fayette, Lyons, Waldron, and Hudson.
