Robert W. Palmer – 74, of North Reading, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Windrose of Woburn, with his family by his side, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Malden, MA on October 31, 1949, he was the son of the late Richard and Evelyn (Stoddard) Palmer. He was a lifelong resident of North Reading and was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1968. He was a member of St. Theresa's Church.
Bob was a Computer Engineer for many years with Honeywell and Raytheon. He was always generous with his time to help family and friends. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bob enjoyed golf, cycling, soccer and gardening. He was an avid Patriots and Bruins fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Family members include his loving wife of 53 years, Emma (Campilio) Palmer; his sons, Robert W. Palmer, Jr. and his wife Kelli and Jason Palmer and his wife Jessalyn; brothers, Richard, Leonard, James and Lawrence Palmer; sister, Judith Galvin, Jane Gulasa and Linda Gebhardt; 8 grandchildren Ashley, Alyssa, Lauren, Samantha, Devon, Isabeau, Sadira and Elliana; he was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Richard Palmer and by his sisters, Lillian Palmer and Evelyn Madden.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 3 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa's Church, 63 Winter Street, North Reading. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading
