Robert C. Poppert of Cinnaminson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 16th, he was 81.
Robert was born in Camden, NJ to the late Charles & Amanda (nee Weber.) Robert served proudly in the U.S. Coast Guard and then went on to enjoy a 45yr career at PSE&G, retiring as a Chief Lineman.
Robert has resided in Cinnaminson for the past 53yrs. He was a longtime, active member of the Palmyra Moravian Church, serving as a trustee for over 40yrs. Robert was also a member of the Beverly-Riverside Masonic Lodge #107 F.&A.M. He was a member of EZ Rods Car Club, an avid softball player into his 70s, playing for Tri-Boro Council of Churches and Senior League. However, most importantly to Robert was spending time with his family including countless hours attending his grandkids sporting events.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee Carlin), children, Kristie (Stephen) Figiel, Robert (Virginia) Poppert, grandchildren, Brooke Figiel, Madison Figiel, Robert Poppert, Victoria Poppert, his brother, James (Cindy) Poopert, and his beloved dog, Bell.
A viewing for Robert will be held on Wednesday, December 20th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21st from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am, both at the Palmyra Moravian Church, 1921 Cinnaminson Ave., Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's name would be appreciated to: Palmyra Moravian Church, 1921 Cinnaminson Ave., Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
