Obituary of Robert Dale Quam Sr.
Robert D. Quam Sr.
PATRICK SFB, Florida
Bob passed away at Cape Canaveral Hospital on February 27, going home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 73. He was a dedicated and devoted husband, father, and servant of the Lord during his time at PSFB Chapel.
Bob was born August 15, 1950 in Willmar, MN to parents Edward and Winifred Quam. After graduating from high school, Bob attended vocational school and then enlisted in the Air Force, where he worked as a mechanic for four years. He then earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology from the University of Maine and worked as an engineer for several years. He eventually reenlisted in the Air National Guard in 1989, serving overseas as a jet engine mechanic in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and finally retired in 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Donna, his sons Robert Jr. (with wife Kristine), Kristoffer (with wife Lori), and daughter Amy, grandson Jack, Granddaughters Grace and Riley, sister Ruth (with husband Ted), brothers Tom (with wife Jenny), Phil (with wife Lisa), Steve, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank ICU doctors, nurses, and technicians who provided excellent and compassionate care for Bob during his last days. They would also like to thank the chaplains and chapel family of Seaside Chapel PSFB for their prayers and support during this time.
A visitation for friends and family will take place at Beach Funeral Home (1689 South Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, Fl) on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 2-3 PM. A committal service will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (5525 U.S Highway 1, North Mims, Fl) on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 9 AM.
