Obituary published on Legacy.com by Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home on Sep. 10, 2024.
ROBERT J. "BOB" RENNER,
Age 73, passed away Mon., Sept. 9, 2024. Born May 16, 1951, he was a lifelong resident of Canton and the immediate area and was a 1970 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Bob retired in 2013 from the House of LaRose Beer Distributor and previous to that the Taylor Beverage Co., having worked as a Sales Rep; he loved the Beer Business. He also worked for 20-plus years for Creative Catering as a part time casual position employee. One of his favorite sayings thru his adult working life was he "never worked a day at a job he disliked." Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marjorie and his son, William "Billy" Renner. Bob was blessed with a large family. Survived by his son Andrew (Taneia) Renner; his daughters, Emily (Andrew) Burnison, Stefanie (Freddie) McCrae, and Barbara (Ryan) Wagner; twelve grandchildren; six brothers, Paul (Mary), John (Barb), Tom (Michelle), Jim, Ted (Loraine), and Bill (Mary) Renner; two sisters, Mary Lehman, and Jessica (Scott) Lawrence; along with dozens of nephews, nieces, and cousins; and dear, close friends, especially Allie Lawrence DeVore, Daryl Decker, Tim Meister, Pat Renner, Nancy Cronin, Bob Turnbull, Belinda Coberly, and his Loby's family. Services will be held Fri. at 11 am in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour before the service, from 10-11 am, in the funeral home. Condolences may be left: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
In lieu of flowers or contributions in Bob's name, his true wish is that you just go and do a kind act for yourself, a loved one, a neighbor, or just a stranger. Give an extra kiss and hug, a smile, possibly dinner or a drink, anything to show a simple and heartfelt I LOVE YOU!! "I wish you all the best; I had a great ride in this what they call Life, I will see you all again in eternal rest & peace."
