"Dutch" Robert Alan Scyoc, 68, of Cusseta Georgia, passed on to his next life at the Columbus Hospice House on September 18th 2023. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to everyone who met him, he was very loved and will be greatly missed.
Dutch was born July 13th 1955 in West Virginia. At age 17, he was drafted and joined the Navy, and spent 2 years over seas. When he came home, Dutch spent many years working as a motorcycle mechanic, and loved riding motorcycles. he also was an outdoor enthusiast, he loved to go fishing, and just be on the water, he loved to hunt deer and wild hogs and spent a lot of his time in the woods and on the 4 wheeler. He was a member of a few clubs over the years, one of them being the VFW. He touched the hearts of many people there and made lots of memories. Dutch was a simple man, and if you ever asked him how he was, he would say " happy happy happy" and he really was., he liked to sit on the front porch and "get happy" with friends and family and listen to music, and when you needed help, he would give you the shirt off his back. The world needs more people like him, and we needed more time with him.
There will be a celebration of his life at the VFW in Cusseta Georgia, from 3 to 6 on September 30th. everyone who loved him is welcome to come eat, and share stories and photos of his life with family and friends.
