Bob (Robert) Senn, Papa Bob, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, surrounded by his family after a seven-year battle with cancer and multiple health issues since 2006. Bob grew up in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He attended Saint Celestine Catholic Grade School and graduated from Elmwood Park High School in 1975. He went on to trade school at the Tool and Die Institute, a four-year program graduating in 1979. He earned himself an apprenticeship in the trade of Mold Maker. He worked at Glo-Mold Company in Franklin Park, Illinois, and Accura Tool and Die in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He went on to working at Orbital Tool Technologies in Belvidere, Illinois as an onsite Field Machinist, traveling all over the country.
Bob married Sandra Koziol in 1980 and they had five children together. He was a dedicated worker who took pride in providing for his family, allowing Sandy to be a stay at home mom while their children grew up. Bob was active in Boy Scouts, even becoming an assistant Scout Leader. Some of Bob's favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, and boating and he enjoyed skiing in his younger years. He loved the outdoors. He looked forward to the yearly fishing trips to Kentucky with his son, Bobby and friends. He was on bowling and horseshoe leagues which he always looked forward to.
Papa Bob had nine grandchildren whom he adored. He enjoyed rooting them on in all of their sporting activities when his health allowed him to do so. He was the true definition of a Family Man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D. Senn and Lorraine (Hogan) Senn; brother, Patrick Senn; and brother-in-law, Jerry Poli. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Koziol) Senn; son, Robert J.
