Robert Grant (Bob) Seward Sr., 93 of Meadow Lands, died peacefully Friday, July 11, 2025, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.
He was born April 15, 1932, in Houston, son of the late U. Grant Seward and Della McMenemy Seward.
Bob grew up in Houston. He was a 1950 graduate of Chartiers High School. With hands that shaped wood into works of art, he was a master carpenter who brought both skill and heart to his craft.
Bob was a simple man who enjoyed time in his shop, drinking Mt. Dew, eating Reese's Peanut Butter cups, feeding the squirrels, listening to music, singing along, watching the Pittsburgh sports teams & Gunsmoke, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On July 28, 1950, he married Frances Milkovich Seward, who passed away July 27, 2017.
Surviving, a daughter, Cheryl Morrell of Washington; three granddaughters, Torrie Sparks (Matt), Erin Gasper (Mike) and Madelyne Hanlin (Andrew); a grandson, Tim Morrell Jr. (Sara); four great-granddaughters, Emma and Olivia Gasper, Sydney Morrell, Peyton Hanlin; two great-grandsons, Heath Hanlin, Emmett Morrell; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents are sons, Robert Seward Jr., Terry L. Seward; and two sisters Betty Tunno and Belva Lauda.
Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Interment will be private in St. Patrick Cemetery.
