Robert Daryl Sheldon, 74 of Lincoln, ND, passed away from cancer in the pancreas and liver on Friday, November 21, 2025. Born May 6, 1951, to Catherine (Burke) and Daryl Sheldon in Hammond Indiana. Bob grew up in Mandan and went to Mandan schools. He graduated Mandan High School and went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota.
Throughout Bob's life, he and Mark Goldmann had a very special bond. One could say like "brothers". In their younger years, they loved to fish and hunt. They were mischievous and tried everything and anything!!!
Bob fell in love and on Friday, August 28, 1981, married Clara Vetter. She will always cherish and hold their love close to her heart. God brought these two people together and what a pair they were! In good times and in the not so good times! A very unique couple indeed.
In Bob's later years he had a heart for teaching people about Tithing. He wanted people to know how important Tithing was and all the Blessings it can bring to your heart. It was so important for him to reach people.
Bob had a wit about him. Everybody was a "goofy sucker"!!! After church service he would say "Thanks be to God" for all to hear!
Bob was a special individual for sure! Thank you God for this special man in my life!
**Bob had a special love and bond with Butsch his Black Lab and Bud and Girly his Yellow Labs.
Bob is survived by his wife, Clara; sister Carol (Mike) Barrett, sister Cathy (Brad) Sheldon, sister-in-law Lee (Keith) Franklund, sister-in-law Connie (Dale) Richards, brother-in-law Leo (Dede) Vetter, brother-in-law Don (Dot) Vetter, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Daryl and Catherine Sheldon; father-in-law, mother-in-law, Leo and Clemintina Vetter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to House of Prayer Lutheran Church.
