In loving memory of Robert Lee Showers, loved husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Robert, affectionately known as Bob, is survived by his wife, Linda Showers; his daughters, Christy Eberling (Scott), Jennifer Maley (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Brandon Eberling, Kaitlyn Maley, Conner Maley, Dakota Eberling, and Cheyenne Eberling; his siblings, Jack Showers, David Showers, and Ethel Jean Picknally; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Lucille Showers; siblings, John Showers, Rex Showers, Chris Showers, and Mary Ann Hager; and his best friend, Phil Blevins.
Bob was generous with his time, always willing to lend a helping hand. His signature sayings were "that's just what dads do" and "if l made you smile today, then I did my job", along with the family inside joke about "cherry pie".
Bob retired from Alliance Tubular Products, and served as a past Third Vice President of AFL-CIO and a member of USW Local 3059 and American Legion Post 76 in Sebring. Some favorite activities are spending time with his family, fishing, camping, watching "Gunsmoke", and rooting for the Cleveland Indians. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
