Robert Edward Spallone, better known as just Bob, gained his angel wings on Palm Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Charleston, SC surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on November 8, 1958 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Irene, as well as his younger brother, Stephen. He is survived by his wife Lisa, his son Rob, as well as countless nieces, nephews, sisters, cousins, in-laws, loyal friends and his favorite pet, Furman the cat.
Throughout his life, Bob was a wrestler as well as a wrestling coach. He coached and mentored many successful wrestlers over the years at Carolina Forest High School. Bob was also an accomplished musician. He played the guitar, piano, produced records and loved to sing. Bob was an animal lover and truly enjoyed being in nature and the outdoors. He also loved to cook and was well known for his culinary prowess.
Bob was a New York Mets superfan and loved to watch them play. He also enjoyed gardening, carpentry and wood-working, and always had an interesting project he was working on. His pride and joy were his wife, Lisa and his son, Rob, whom he loved very dearly, protected and shared a beautiful life with.
We would like to give special thanks to the many family members, friends and the exceptional people that were a part of his beautiful life. He truly loved everyone.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm, Friday, April 7, 2023 at Goldfinch Funeral Home. Please join the family in celebrating the wonderful life of Bob Spallone.
