Robert Stone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home and Crematory - Ashland on Mar. 31, 2026.
Robert "Bob" Marcel Stone of Ashland, Ohio, aged 74, passed away peacefully in the early

morning hours of March 22, 2026, with his brother by his side.

Bob was born in New York City in 1952 and spent his entire life on Long Island before

moving to Ashland in June 2025 to be close to his family. He was the son of Clifford

Stone and Josianne Mathieu of East Hampton, Long Island. After graduating from John

F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore, New York, in 1970, Bob attended Bradley

University in Peoria, Illinois.

In 1984, Bob married that cute office girl Mona Healy. He was a skilled tool and die

maker, having dedicated his career to designing and manufacturing precision parts for

medical and printing equipment until his retirement in 2020.

A lover of the great outdoors, Bob found joy in hiking, sailing, fishing, and building

model boats. His green thumb flourished in his gardening pursuits. An avid music

enthusiast, he loved playing his guitar and was a voracious reader, with interests

spanning history, literature, science, technology, and nature.

Bob's memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Mona, and his daughters: Jenine

Faulkner of Ohio, Amanda Murphy (Gary), South Carolina, and Tom Healy (Crissy)

Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by his brother Steve (Marilyn) of Ashland, sister

Gigi Stone (partner Mark Brunger), Ashland, and grandchildren Kathryn Faulkner,

Michael Faulkner, Amber Murphy, and Holly Murphy. Additionally, he leaves behind

nephews Philip Stone (Dakota) of Port Clinton and Lucas Stone (Sarah) of Spencer,

several cousins in East Hampton NY, Connecticut, and Florida, his best friend Ted

Stasiak of Florida, and his cherished furry companion, Sophie.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will gather in the near future to celebrate Bob's life and the memories he has

left behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
